The Department of Statistics has been part of Govt. Postgraduate College for Women, Sahiwal since its inception, initially offering courses at the intermediate and degree levels, and launching its BS program in 2010. Along with core statistics, the curriculum integrates computer skills, mathematics, management, history, and functional English, making it well-aligned with programs offered by leading institutions and universities. The program aims to prepare applied statisticians capable of playing a dynamic role in the job market, and many of its graduates are successfully serving in both public and private sector organizations.
