The department of Economics, one of major contributors of knowledge in Govt. P.G College for Women Sahiwal, consists of Six faculty members, three of them are M. Phil and two are gold medalists. The Department aims to develop the inter ectual capabilities of learners by providing lates subject based knowledge and understanding. The conduction of seminars and internship pprogrammes that the students have to undergo before completion of their degree provide an opportunity to enhance the latest practical trends in the field. The ex-students of the department are serving successfully in banks, educational tional institutes, insurance companies and research & planning department.
