INTRODUCTION TO BS(IT)

The department of IT has started BS Programme in 2010. Today , the department provides an excellent educational environment that aims at bringing out the best. As the computing industry matured, professional qualifications are becoming more and more essential. The taught curriculum encompasses the recommendation of IEEF and ACM joint committee on computer science curriculum and also conform to the recommendations of theNational Curriculum Revision Committee in the Information Technology, Computer Science and Telecommunication systems, duly approved by the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology.

The department has two laboratories, which are equipped with more than 60 Computers. Pcs Loaded with Windows XP, Linux Server, with and over head multimedia projector. The department also has the facility of video conferencing equipment funded by the HEC, which will provide an opportunity of access and connectivity for the department to the human resource across the globe.Students of 8th Semester present their final thesis, projects which are a highly academic achievement. Head of Department supervise these projects. Moreover 180 students have passed their final projects and Degrees have been awarded. Information Technology department also has organized seminars successfully. Scholars from prominent Universities of Punjab have delivered Lectures in these seminars. Seminars are the best way to motivate the students to learn more and more in their subjects.
