The department of statistics emerged at inter anddegree level with the very inception of Govt. P.G College for Woman Sahiwal. However, BS programme was introduced in 2010. Currently the programme is not only teaching statistics but also covering Computer skills, mathematics, management, History & functional English under the umbrella of its courses. This multi-dimentionallity has made this programme compatible with the programmes offered by other insstitutions and universities. The objective of the programme is to prepare a generation of applies statisticians who can play dynamic role in job market. Our graduates are employed both in public and private sector departments, firms and organizations.
